Who really wants Gaza to remain unstable?
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu argued that people in Gaza are not free to leave and asked: If countries truly care about Gazans, why are they unwilling to accept those who want to leave?
That statement raises another question.
Some countries involved in the Gaza issue:
- Do not accept Palestinian refugees
- Do not support the freedom to leave
- Do not accept Israel’s approach to resolving the Gaza issue
- Yet continue to advocate for a two-state solution
So what is the ultimate objective?
If every option is rejected, the question becomes: Are some countries truly protecting the people of Gaza, or are they preserving Gaza as a strategic burden on Israel?
An unstable Gaza is also a geopolitical tool. As long as Gaza remains unstable, Israel will continue to consume military, financial and political resources while being forced to focus on the Middle East instead of larger strategic priorities.
Do they want to end the conflict, or do they want Gaza to remain a permanent flashpoint that continues to constrain Israel’s strategic power?
